Basic Codes
Bold, Underline, & Italic
So, you want your words to be bold, underlined, crossed out , or italicized ?
Here is an easy way to do this:
Want a word bold?
Want a word underlined?
Want a word italicized?
And finally, want a word to be crossed out?
Putting Breaks after Pics & Words
Want to turn something into a list like this,
CheeseEggs
Ham
If you tried typing that by itself on myspace, it would look like this:
Cheese Eggs Ham
So, in order to make those three words a list, or vertically aligned, you have to put a break after each word.
Just put that after every word/pic you want to have a break after =]
Putting pictures on Myspace/Xanga, etc...
Still confused on how to put a picture on Myspace?
Well the basic code for putting any image on your page is:
But what the heck is an image url?
When putting a picture on any website, there has to be a source
(Where did the image come from?)
There are many places on the internet that offer free image hosting:
http://photobucket.com (requires you to sign up for an account in order to upload, but really fast, easy, and free!!)
When you get to one of these websites, find the upload area. You should see a tab that says Browse. Click it, and it will take you to your picture documents. Select the picture on your hardrive you want to upload, and the hosting site will upload it.
Next, you are going to be taken to a place that has many different kinds of urls:
The URL you want to copy is the one that is the direct link to the image and starts with an http:// and ends with a .ext (.ext means the file extension you uploaded such as .png, .jpg, .bmp or.gif)
Confused Still?:
Here is the url to one of my pics that I uploaded to imageshack. Notice that the url takes me directly to the image I uploaded, that is the url you want to make sure you have
Now that you have the url for the picture you uploaded all you do is need to replace the part of the code where it says" URLHERE" to your picture Url, like this
Put the code anywhere on your profile, and the picture will appear!

Different Colored Words
How can I get certain words on my page to be different colors?
This is a good question, but is something very easy to do:
Let's say I wanna write the word Irish ,
but I want it to be Irish
All you need to do is use this simple code:
What do I put in the place where it says "COLOR"??
There are over 16 million known colors in the world, each with their own HTML (or hexidecimal) code:
For instance, I want the word Irish to be green,
So the HTML Code for this shade of green is 66FF33
For a good list of color codes, click here
The code for this would be:
Once you have placed your a word and color into the code, you can put the code anywhere on your profile.
Centering Words or Pics on Your Profile
Want everything (or certain things) on your profile to be centered
like this??
Just use this simple code:
Making Links!
I really want to know how to make a link! I want to be able to post a bulletin directing my friends to a cool site, and such. But how?
This is also very basic & simple:
Simply replace where it says "URL HERE" to the url of the website or page you want to link to:
Where it says "Text that directs you to link here" , just put in a phrase such as Click here! Here is another example...
Copying and pasting that code will get you this link:
Now, what if you want the same link, but for the page to open up in a separate window?
Just use this code instead:
Then, your link will do this:
Copy and paste the code anywhere you like, and you have just made a link! =]
